UNIFORM POLICY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF STUDENTS

1) Uniform Policy for School Year 2006-2007

Grades 1-3
Girls
  • Plaid jumper
  • White Peter Pan blouse (long or short sleeve)
  • School Tie
  • Navy Blue knee socks or tights
  • Blue Mary Jane shoes

    Boys
  • Navy blue uniform pants
  • White shirt (long or short sleeve)

    Cold weather - Girls may wear school sweat pants to and from school under their jumper but not during the school day. Sweatshirt with school logo or navy blue school cardigan sweater may be worn by boys and girls drung the school day. On days when the temperature is 25 degrees F or below at 7:00 AM students may wear their gym suits. Check the web site for verification.

    Uniforms are purchased from Greene Uniform Company and shoes may be purchased from Stride Rite Shores. Sweat suits and the white tee shirt for gym are purchased through Home and School. We expect all students to be clan and neat, wearing uniforms fit to size with shirts/blouses tucked in at all times.

    2) Personal Grooming:
    It is expected that each child will have been instructed on how to propely care for oneself in the areas of personal hygeine. In addition to being clean and well groomed the following regulations must be followed:

    Girls: Cosmetics of any kind (including lip gloss) and excessive jewelry is NOT permitted. Jewelry may include a medal or cross and one ring on each hand. Earrings may not be larger than a quarter. Only one pair of earrings may be worn. Hair may not be dyed or bleached.

    Boys: Hair length is not to exceed the top of the shirt collar or cover the eyebrows. Mohawks, tails or sculptures are not permitted. Hair may not be dyed or bleached. No earrings are permitted up to and including Graduation Day.

    3) No Uniform Days:
    If you wish to participate, you are required to follow the following guidelines:
    1. No tank tops, belly shirts, cut-off t-shirts, spaghetti straps or muscle shirts
    2. No short shorts, mini skirts or cut-off shorts
    3. No inappropriate slogans on t-shirts
    4. Follow the theme of the No Uniform Day
    The above guidelines must be followed. No exceptions will be made. Failure to adhere to the above rules will result in the suspension of participation in the future.

    4) Phone Calls: Students will NOT BE PERMITTED to call home when they forget books, assignments, instruments, etc.
