High School Musical

St. Christopher’s Drama Club put on their production of High School Musical this past weekend. They performed to sold out audiences both Friday and Saturday nights. From the first note of the show to the finale the show was energetic, exciting and transformed St. Christopher’s in to the fictional East High. The audience even got involved when some of the youngest audience members were brought up to dance and sing along with our wildcat mascots.
The Drama Club consists of more than 75 members from third through eighth grade. For the past five months students have been putting in countless hours before and after school preparing for the show and rehearsing. Besides the on stage performers, students were responsible for the lighting, sound and props backstage. We also had members of the drama club come in and design and paint all of the sets.
Each cast member brought something special and unique to the show. They have all grown as performers these past few months and should be very proud of the time and effort they put in the production. This was and wonderful experience for everyone involved. The show was a tremendous success and the students are already planning next year’s production. Congratulations to all involved!
